Thank you for responding to my situation. It is unfortunate that there are so many people going through extremely rough times in there lives, but at least we are able to share with others and know that we are not alone. It's hard enough going through this, but it is even worse going through it by yourself. Thanks for your prayers and I will keep you in my prayers as well. A Loving & Understanding Friend, Cheryle
I'm a 48 year old Christian Female that is in real need of Financial Assistance. I live in Cape Coral, Florida and recently it seems like everything is going down hill in my life. My Faith is the only thing keeping me afloat. I have 5 children ages 18 to 28 and 5 grandchildren. It all came to a head last fall. I was basically the sole bread winner in our family. My husband is disabled and collected SSI. We had our 2 youngest children and a granddaughter living with us. In August of 2008 my husband lost his SSI due to my income. We decided to seperate and he went back to New York to collect his SSI on his own (he needed his medical). While he was gone I had a lot of thinking to do; see my husband is an alcholic and recently went back to drinking and I decided I could no longer live with him unless he got cleaned up; which he refuses. So after he came back for the holidays we decided to call it quits and are now seperated for good. In February my daughter who lives with us and I were in a serious car accident. I have severe whiplash all over my neck and back. I have been out of work since the accident. My daughter also was hurt in the accident and had to have surgery and has also been out of work. Our doctors have released us to return to work but, due to the economic situation both companies are not allowing us to return to work, but also have not let us go. We are basically in limbo. I have been collecting 60% of my pay (disability); which doesn't always pay the bills and we are now very deep in debt. My disability ends July 1st 2009 and we will then be completely broke. Not sure if we will even be able to pay the rent and electric or keep my car. It is now my single 21 year old daughter, 22 month old granddaughter and I living together, but soon may be homeless. My soon to be ex-husband refuses to help in anyway stating that I caused all of this myself by splitting our family up and since he only recieves SSI I can not force him legally to give us any financial support. We are in need of a personal grant or some kind of immediate financial help (we do recieve food stamps and the baby recieves WIC), but those do not keep our home or pay the bills. Please anyone that can help we are in serious immediate need before its too late and we are in the streets.
